Having defeated Chao at the end of the Mahora Festival (manga story), Asuna sets up the club "Negima-dan" to search for Negi's father Nagi. The club is primarily a guise for a trip to England. To this end, Asuna, Setsuna, Konoka, Nodoka, Yue, Paru, Chisame, Chachamaru, Asakura, Sayo, Ku Fei, and Kaede started training at Eva's resort, with Eva as honorary adviser and Negi as teacher-sponsor. But since Eva does not like "Negima-dan" as club name, she renames it to "Shiroki Tsubasa" - Japanese for "White Wing", or "Ala Alba" in Latin.
It is summer and so everyone visits the summer festival (with a test from Eva), goes to the beach (where Negi's childhood friend Anya suddenly appears), followed by a trip to an onsen for some fun before their flight to Wales.
